TaylorMade R11 Irons
When Taylormade released the white R11 driver…it was basically an FU to the entire industry when you think about it. Taylormade was basically saying to all its competitors…”We’re going to launch something none of you would ever even dream of doing (because of the guaranteed mockery you would get from consumers and the industry) and oh by the way it’s going to be the biggest driver release ever to hit the golf world.” Has anyone heard anything about TaylorMade coming out with a set of irons to match the R11 Driver and Fairways like they did with R7 & R9? Taylormade has launched the brand new
Taylormade R11 Irons.
TaylorMade R11 Irons Feature:
» Forged face for great feel, cast undercut cavity for increased MOI and forgiveness
» Thin, high-COR clubface for increased ball speed and distance
» Precision Weighting Port ensures consistent swingweight and optimal CG location in every club
» Progressive kick-point shafts for longer and higher long-irons, lower and controllable short-irons

Inverted Cone Technology
The Inverted Cone Technology inside the R11 Irons promotes faster ball speed and distance on off-center hits.
Precision Weighting Port
A weight port permanently positioned in the center of the back of an iron head during assembly, the Precision Weighting Port assures that each R11 iron in the set is of uniform swingweight while also ensuring that the CG location is precisely and optimally positioned in the center of the face between the toe and heel. In the past, clubmakers have installed cartridges of varying weight in the hosel to adjust swingweight, and by doing so have pulled the CG closer to the heel to varying degrees, resulting in a set of irons consistent in swingweight but inconsistent in CG location.
Ultra-Thin Face
Ultra-thin face thickness promotes faster ball speed and distance in the R11 long- and middle-irons.
Tour Inspired Sole Design
The R11 irons Multi-Functional Sole is beveled at the back to make it perform like a much thinner sole, which increases playability from a variety of lies. Yet it also features a low and deeper center of gravity that makes it easy to launch the ball on a powerful and penetrating flight.

I have been playing R7 irons until now. I ordered 4-9, PW, AW and SW in the R11 irons. I'm hitting the 3 iron about 220 off the tee with a higher ball flight. Distance and Height with these irons are very nice. The offset is less than the R7's which helps control my draw. The distance on off center shots is really nice too. The ball just jumps of the face and has some really good feed back. Really good irons for the price and I will be happy for a while now!

These clubs are so foregiving. I am a 16 handicapper and today was the first time i ever tryed them and i LOVE THEM! they are well worth getting as i shot 10 under my handicap! also i use a club less as these give me an extra 10-20 yards everyshot and the spin is incredable!

I just bought the new R11 irons 4 weeks ago and have had the opportunity to play 5 rounds with them since. My previous clubs were taylormade Burner 2.0 irons.
I have to say I have been very pleased with the look, feel and performance of the new iron.. I am getting about 10 yards more distance, but the ball flight and height is what I like the best. Solid hits you know from the start, and miss hits have a subtle difference but not much loss on distance. The clubs are better for me at address from the top, and the KBS shafts deliver a better kick than what I had previous. I find that these clubs tend to have a shallower take on the turf which creates more club speed and less chunky hits.
I like the spin, not too much, but even with the long irons I am only getting a few feet of roll. If you are in the market, these are worth a look.
